Mushroom World Academy (MWA) offers hands-on training and workshops designed for beginners, growers, educators, and aspiring urban farmers. Our programmes combine practical experience with applied knowledge, covering mushroom cultivation techniques, culture maintenance, substrate preparation, farm hygiene, and pest management.
Led by experienced practitioners and trainers, our training focuses on real-world growing conditions , from home setups to small-scale commercial operations. Workshops are structured to support Singapore’s food resilience goals and emphasize sustainable, efficient cultivation practices.
Courses are delivered through in-person sessions, group workshops, and customised programmes for schools, organisations, and corporate teams. Selected programmes may be eligible for SkillsFuture funding for qualified participants.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Mushroom World Academy collaborates with Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) to deliver structured mushroom cultivation training, including the “Mushroom Cultivation for City Farmers” programme. These hands-on courses cover home and small-scale commercial growing, culture maintenance, substrate preparation, and pest management. The training supports Singapore’s food security objectives and is typically conducted as an intensive multi-day workshop, with SkillsFuture funding available for eligible participants.

Republic Polytechnic
The Commercial Mushroom Cultivation training aims to equip the learners with fundamentals in mushroom cultivation using various aseptic cell culture and controlled environment agriculture. Learners have the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in every aspect of mushroom cultivation, starting from media preparation and tissue culture, to inoculating grain spawn, preparing fruiting bags using repurposed sawdust, and finally observing the fruiting stage in a commercial farm setting

We offer a comprehensive School Applied Learning Programme (ALP) under our MCELP programme, designed to strengthen students’ practical skills and prepare them for real-world challenges.
Going beyond traditional classroom learning, MCELP provides students with meaningful hands-on experiences where they can apply academic knowledge in practical, real-world settings. Through experiential activities and interactive workshops, students learn by doing, exploring and solving problems beyond what is typically taught in the classroom.
By bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application, MCELP gives students the opportunity to gain practical exposure, develop confidence and encourage them to discover their interests and build practical competencies.
Travel & Learn Programme (TLP)
Our Travel & Learn Programme takes learning beyond the classroom through meaningful educational journeys and real-world experiences. Students explore new places, cultures, industries and communities while gaining practical knowledge through hands-on activities and guided learning.
By combining travel, discovery and experiential learning, the programme broadens students’ perspectives, builds independence and confidence, and develops essential skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving — making every journey an opportunity to explore, experience and learn.
